Welcome to The Indian Council for Mental Health (Hygiene). ICMH is an ISO 9001: 2008 Certified Non Government Organization, registered as a Public Trust (E- 700 Bom) based in Mumbai ,India since 1953.Until 1990, we provided psychiatric and counseling services. Thereafter since 1990 we shifted our focus towards providing services for children with developmental disabilities. We strive to provide special education to mentally challenged and hearing impaired children. Today, with a teaching staff of more than 40 registered special educators and a team of professional therapists, we operate two Schools for developmentally challenged children in Nerul (Navi Mumbai) and Mulund (Mumbai) since 1990. Over the past two years, our Organization has expanded significantly to reach its current capacity of around 250 Mentally Challenged and Hearing Impaired students.

We also provide the Certificate to donors which gives the benefit of 50% tax rebate for the purpose of Income Tax Exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.

To integrate through education the special population into mainstream society by eradicating the stigma attached to them and continuously providing them with the best related services in every possible way.
