Animal Assisted Therapy

Animal Assisted Therapy is a therapy whereby an animal (in our case a labrador) is used as a medium of instruction impart therapeutic benefits for children with developmental disability. It has been our pride to state that ICMH runs successfully the first Animal Assited Therapy Centre in the whole of Navi Mumbai since 2006. There have been breakthroughs and the progress seen in our children is our inspiration behind incorporating this project in the curriculum after the completion of the six month pilot phase in 2005.

Art Becomes Therapy

Art Becomes Therapy is a therapy whereby an music, art, drama is used as a medium of instruction to impart therapeutic benefits for children. There are no negative reinforcements on the children. The observation occured during the session are only noted and later used in classroom activity.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy basically deals with motor outputs so as to enable child to perform task of daily living. It improves quality of life. We conduct various Neurodevelpmental techniques and sensory integration therapies during the sessions conducted at our schools

Garden Project

Our objective is to spread awareness about the Garden Project; we want people to understand that that horticulture therapy can do wonders. This project aimed at cultivating not only the earth, but education in nutrition, and conservation, as well as the human spirit.
It is observed that most of developmentally challenged are low on confidence and self-esteem however, after the involvement in the process of gardening and observing the entire process of growth of seed to plant we witnessed a change in their mind set. They feel that they are capable of doing or creating something. And this is the base of our "Garden Project". Garden Project is the means through which we transmit confidence and self-reliance in our students it also enhances the gross motor development and fine motor development of these children.
